Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, born on July 18, 1982, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, is an Indian actress and producer with a career spanning over two decades. She gained international recognition after winning the Miss World pageant in 2000. Following her success in pageantry, Chopra transitioned to acting, debuting in the Tamil film Thamizhan (2002) and soon after entering Bollywood with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003).
Over the years, she appeared in a range of commercially successful and critically acclaimed films, including Andaaz (2003), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), and the romantic thriller Aitraaz (2004). Her performances in Krrish and Don (both 2006), along with their sequels, helped solidify her place in Indian cinema. Chopra’s role in Fashion (2008) earned her a National Film Award and a Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She continued to take on diverse characters in films like Kaminey (2009), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), Barfi! (2012), Mary Kom (2014), and Bajirao Mastani (2015).
In addition to her film career, Chopra made a significant impact on television as the lead in the ABC thriller series Quantico (2015–2018), marking her as the first South Asian to headline an American network drama. More recently, she has taken on the lead role of Nadia Sinh in the Amazon Prime series Citadel (2023).
